Get a Board Certified Lawyer on Your Side
What does it mean to have a personal injury lawyer that is Board Certified? You know that your case will be managed by a legal professional that is highly educated, far beyond the general standard. Chris Limberopoulos, our lead attorney, is a Board Certified Civil Trial Specialist. Only Board Certified Attorneys can legally claim to be specialists in their fields of law. In Florida, less than one percent of all lawyers are Certified as Civil Trial and Pretrial Specialists. Your claim will not be rushed through to a fast settlement because your lawyer doesn't want to go to court, or doesn't have the skills to present a persuasive and well documented case to a jury. We are willing to bring your injury claim to a jury for a decision. This could be necessary in cases of serious injury, or when there is an attempt to challenge the claim.
What does civil trial advocacy mean? First off, civil trial advocacy includes various types of litigation that are not criminal in nature, these include: personal injury litigation, property disputes, insurance claims and a number of other civil arguments that occur. Also, in the vast majority of civil cases, money damages are a dominating factor.
Believe it or not, a large number of civil cases never make it to trial. However, it is difficult for an attorney to know ahead of time which cases will settle outside of court and which cases will have to go to trial. Since settlements are often based on a prediction of what would result of a case went to trial, it's important for people to enlist the services of a highly trained attorney to handle their injury claims, and this is critical whether their case is settled out of court or if it does eventually go to trial.
In order for a trial attorney to be successful at what they do, they must possess the knowledge, experience and communication skills, as well as the understanding of group decision dynamics. When it comes to going to trial, any mistake made by your attorney can end a case; therefore, having a young or inexperienced attorney make their debut can be costly and futile; this is especially the case if your claim involves a substantial amount of damages.

Board Certified Pretrial Practice Attorney
In addition to being a Board Certified Civil Trial Specialist, attorney Chris M. Limberopoulos has also become a Board Certified Civil Pretrial Practice attorney by the National Board of Trial Advocacy Division of the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification (NBLSC). In order for a lawyer to qualify as a Board Certified Civil Pretrial Practice attorney, they must meet the rigorous requirements set forth by the NBLSC.
Board Certified Civil Pretrial Practice attorneys typically represent private parties that are either being sued for damages or that are suing someone else for damages. Such attorneys have a great deal of litigation experience and skill as it pertains to settling cases before they ever make it to trial. What's more, because of their experience, they are qualified to complete all of the preparatory steps for various types of disputes before court. This includes discovery, pretrial motions and hearings, and also alternative dispute resolution actions. Board Certified attorneys are also well-qualified to handle arbitrations and mediations effectively.
In order for an attorney to possess the NBLSC certificate, he or she must be held to a higher standard for personal and professional conduct, and they must meet the NBLSC's continuing legal education requirements. NBLSC attorneys must maintain active trial practices and they are required to submit an annual disclosure of misconduct which is scrutinized by the NBLSC Standards Committee. At the end of each five year term, the attorney must prove to the NBLSC that they meet all of the standards and requirements for re-certification.

When our firm takes on an injury claim, we are committed to pursuing the maximum possible in compensation. We are known for achieving high value settlements in difficult cases. We urge you to contact us immediately if you or someone you love has been seriously injured. Catastrophic injuries, such as spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, severe burns, birth injuries and other permanent injuries will require a lifetime of medical care. There is no real hope of regaining the condition that was enjoyed prior to the injury; the ability to earn a living is either destroyed or seriously compromised. We are aggressive in demanding compensation that reflects the seriousness of the injury. Such a case may require a trial to achieve resolution.
Even if your case is finally settled, how the process is managed is extremely important. The amount of the final settlement could not be more important to you - our client - and we take this responsibility very seriously. We are known for our achievements, and we are relentless in negotiating a settlement, or in pursuing justice in court. We stand firm for you and your rights. We know our business and believe that you deserve justice. We are willing to fight for it for you.
