What is a soft tissue injury?

A Soft tissue injury is usually defined as damage to muscles, ligaments and tendons throughout the body. Most soft tissue injuries occur from a trauma or blow resulting in an n abnormal extension of flexion of a particular part of the body. Soft tissue injuries can result in pain, swelling, bruising and permanent loss of function. They are the most common injury suffered in an accident and the most frequently debilitating of non-neurological injuries in accidents. They worsen with age affecting a person's ability to stand, walk, carry and even sleep.

The insurance industry has attempted to downplay the severity of soft tissue injuries, denying benefits and medical treatment for these injuries. This has resulted in multimillion dollar verdicts against insurance companies for their documented bad faith practices in denying benefits for people with soft tissue injuries.

I you have been injured with soft tissue injuries it is a good idea to consult with a board certified lawyer to preserve your righs and protect your benefits.
